DESCRIPTION
The member countries of the GMS -(Kingdom of Thailand, Kingdom of Cambodia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Union of Myanmar, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and People’s Republic of China – Yunnan province) have been engaged since 1992 in a program of economic cooperation, with the objective to promote competitiveness and to strengthen the economic growth of the region. This program aims to develop regional infrastructures, to procure optimal distribution of resources and to harmonize standards and practices. The aim of this Regional Technical Assistance (RETA) is to develop and adopt a road map for implementing the Regional Power Trade (RPT) and to agree on a regional power interconnection master plan.

SERVICE RENDERED
–  Master planning of regional power interconnection;
–  Collection, review, and updating of data;
–  Study of existing situation and projections in each of the GMS countries;
–  Preparation of national power development plans;
–  Common planning, evaluation, and ranking of criteria;
–  Updating of the GMS regional master plan;
–  Updating of the structure of the existing GMS regional database.
