DESCRIPTION
The 20 years Energy Conservation Plan (2015-2036) has a target to bring in the “ZERO BUILDING” criteria to use with Building Energy Code (BEC) in 2036. This led to the study and design of demonstration building in order to elevate the scale of energy saving from “ECON” to “ZERO BUILDING”. The building location will be in the area of DEDE’s Energy Conservation Training Center at Khlong Nueng sub district, Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani province.
Objectives of The Project:
- To study and design the demonstration building which enable better compatible energy saving up from ECON to ZERO BUILDING.
- To measure, analyze, and evaluate energy consumption using virtual programming model.
- To summarize result from the project for dissemination and transfer of the knowledge.
SERVICE RENDERED
- To study and design an energy saving building with total area of not less than 2,000 sq.m. with efficient air-conditioning system. The design concept will be combination between passive and active design works with the following work processes.
- To study location and environment directly and indirectly influencing the site for preliminary design and collect field survey data in the stages of design and modeling evaluation.
- By brainstorming among designers (architect and Engineers), the energy factors will be prepared to use in the design of energy saving building in comparing between criteria levels of BEC, ECON, and ZERO BUILDING.
- By brainstorming with the energy expert, relevant specific factors will be investigated and selected for energy saving building with controllable peak load, economized cost, and suitable for humid and hot weather and energy saving way to adjust building shape.
- To simulate the data resulted from the above for the selection of material, building shape, outdoor environment for energy saving in ZERO BUILDING level which is suitable for humid and hot weather.
- Develop Building Information Modeling and linkage for the evaluation of energy saving of demonstration building and prepare specific factors of beyond ECON level, prepare conceptual architectural design, energy conservation and renewable energy principle, site plan, floor plans, cross section, and preliminary cost estimations.
- To measure, analyze, and evaluate energy consumption using virtual modeling program and comparing with initial study using energy consumption and environmental and cost concerning parameters.
- To conclude and disseminate knowledge from study and design, deliver detailed design, and complete cost estimation sufficiently to tendering.
