DESCRIPTION
The Scope of works of the project study are covering the analysis of secondary and primary data to be gathered from involved offices i.e. EPPO, EGAT, PEA, MEA, SPP in conjunction with the suitability analysis in terms of legal and regulation perspective. The result of the analysis will be lead to gap to improve the efficiency of electricity generation in terms of distributed generation criteria and developing of roadmap to such recommendation that may have. The activities divide into 2 which are 1) gap analysis and 2) DG roadmap.
SERVICE RENDERED
The project study contains 2 main topics of which
1) Gap analysis and recommended policy on power efficiency improvement for Thailand. The analysis works cover the gap evaluation in comparison with benchmark in other countries on power production, transmission and distribution. The result of analysis in terms of technology or measure will be listed in order of potential on power saving, chance of success, and strategic impact as a policy recommendation.
2) “Distributed Generation Roadmap”, responsible by FA, a COT college, is to conclude definition on DG in suitable to Thai context of power generation and the analysis to prepare a policy roadmap for DG. The analysis will use WADE model covers relating aspects on existing policy, legal, technic, finance, social and environment. The model will run on different scenarios of DG ratios in order to conclude suitable scale of DG application in Thailand.
