DESCRIPTION
The 2011 flood in Thailand resulted in inundation of production bases, disrupted distribution systems, and suspended production, causing a significant impact on Japanese industries. This project focuses on Thailand’s key role in the global supply chain. It plans to develop an Area-BCM tool that visualizes the impact of disaster risks on industry and implement the system in industrial parks and surrounding areas to build an operational framework. This will help build disaster-resilient regional communities through collaboration between industry, government and academic institution. The study area is in Rojana Industrial Park and the surrounding area in Ayutthaya.
