DESCRIPTION
The Energy Conservation Promotion Act B.E. 2535 (1992) amended B.E. 2555 (2012) intends to regulate, promote and assist in the operation of Energy Conservation in order to produce and use economical energy in machinery production, heavy equipment and materials used in the country. The Act has set up an “Energy Conservation Promotion Fund” where the National Energy Policy Council (NEPC) has the power and duty to set guidelines, criteria, conditions and priorities of spending the Fund.
The Office of the Fund for Promotion of Energy Conservation, (Encon Fund Office) is tasked to conduct the monitoring and evaluation of the project. There are at least 100 projects and other activities to follow up, make suggestions and provide solutions to problematic projects to be able to achieve its objectives including assessing the lessons–learned from projects that have already been completed.

 

SERVICE RENDERED
1) Monitor ongoing projects and evaluate completed projects that are supported by the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund (100 projects).
2) Hold a monthly performance summary meeting at least 8 times.
3) Organize seminars in 4 regions, 1 time per region
4) Provide follow-up visit to project funded by the Fund to know the operational guidelines, problems and obstacles, as well as provide project management.
5) Make recommendations to spend the fund efficiently.
