DESCRIPTION
The project is aimed to study possibility in development 5 million ton per year crude steel upstream steel industry including downstream and related steel industry on the coastal area and/or offshore reclamation area of around 800 hectares for upstream/downstream industry and other 800 hectares altogether for related industry. The industrial complex is approximately 1,600 hectares. The total study area is approximately of 4,800 hectares. The 3 components are included;
1. Study the possibility for development of deep seaport for 250,000 DWT vessel, iron and steel industrial complex, and strategic environmental assessment (SEA) for the project;
2. Study the possibility for development of new industrial town (eco-industrial town) and improvement of the existing affected community including community business enterprises;
3. Study and carry out public relations and organize seminars for public participation of stakeholders and to provide knowledge of sustainable iron and steel industry.
