Gas-powered cars contribute to Climate Change due to their emissions, particularly carbon dioxide–a major factor in global warming. In support of President Biden’s U.S.-ASEAN Electric Vehicle Initiative launched at the 2022 U.S.-ASEAN Summit, USAID Southeast Asia Smart Power Program is partnering with National Renewable Energy Laboratory and U.S. Department of Transportation on a regional workshop in Bangkok to highlight “Integrated Approaches to Scaling-up Electric Mobility” throughout the region. Mr. Bien Anatan, USAID Power Sector Advisor and Consultant of Technology Co., Ltd. (COT)’s International Program Manager attended 4 day workshop on 19th – 22nd September 2023.
Representatives from Transportation, Energy, and Environment ministries across the ASEAN region joined U.S. experts to identify green transportation policies and enhance data-informed decisions. These efforts all will support the Clean Energy transition by promoting EVs and other sustainable technologies to Go Green.
